Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service industry
  • ability to lead and manage a team
  • knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
  • capability to train and mentor employees
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous supervisory experience in a food service environment preferred
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP guidelines
  • ability to operate and maintain food-service equipment
  • effective communication and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Train employees
  • plan, assign and direct work
  • appraise performance
  • reward and discipline associates
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • advise management of purchasing requirements to minimize waste and avoid product shortages
  • use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • operate and clean equipment in accordance with department procedures after each use
  • store, label and date food items according to policy and maintain food rotations to minimize spoilage and waste
  • follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
  • operate food-service equipment safely according to established policies and procedures
  • help serve meals and remain present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback
  • perform other duties as assigned
