Job Requirements

  • Able to sit for long periods of time in a shared office environment
  • Able to communicate effectively and follow oral and written instructions
  • Able to answer telephones
  • Computer and keyboard skills
  • Maintain patient privacy and follow requirements of HIPAA
  • Able to maintain near 100 percent accuracy in processing patient meal orders
  • Able to describe menu items and diets
  • Able to problem solve software and printer malfunctions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1 to 2 years call center experience preferred
  • Keyboarding skills preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Able to communicate effectively and follow oral and written instructions
  • Able to answer telephones
  • Computer and keyboard skills
  • Knowledge of patient privacy and HIPAA requirements

Job Duties

  • Effectively managing inbound and outbound calls to ensure that call wait times are mitigated
  • Accurately managing position paperwork
  • Navigating Meals Your Way program to assist patients, family, and staff in ordering meals
  • Negotiating with patients to optimize patient satisfaction while adhering to diet orders
  • Prioritizing patient calls to optimize patient satisfaction
  • Following correct hand hygiene procedures
  • Utilizing appropriate scripting and responding to patients, internal and external customers
