Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • ServSafe certification
  • Culinary certification
  • Ability to exert physical effort to transport up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to maintain a stationary position for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
  • Ability to reach 7 feet
  • Familiarity with hotel services and features to respond to guest inquiries
  • Ability to maintain positive coworker relations
  • Ability to comprehend and follow recipes
  • Must adhere to safety and health standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies and service procedures
  • Use equipment only as intended and maintain its proper maintenance
  • Maintain positive co-worker relations
  • Help resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
  • Complete opening duties including workstation setup and inspection of tools
  • Start prep work and inform chefs of shortages
  • Assist operations to ensure optimum guest service
  • Maintain proper storage procedures
  • Minimize waste and control food costs
  • Assist in cooking and presentation during service time
  • Transport and manage pots, pans, and cleaning
  • Direct and assist stewards for efficient clean-up
  • Complete closing duties including storage organization and sanitation
  • Communicate with supervisors about work status
  • Write mise en place listings for upcoming shifts
  • Respect safety and health standards at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned
