Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Prior cooking experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Cooking experience of at least 1 year preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of banquet kitchen operations including breakfast, lunch, brunch, and tea service
  • Ability to build a strong culinary team
  • Understanding of customer expectations regarding food quality and service
  • Demonstrated professionalism and respect towards associates
  • Ability to maintain open communication with all culinary and service staff

Job Duties

  • Lead by example through hands-on involvement of all banquet production and service
  • Maintain clean, organized, and efficient workplace as per Executive Chef standards
  • Collaborate closely with Banquet Chef and Chef de Partie
  • Communicate effectively between kitchen and front-of-house teams
  • Handle various banquet kitchen duties including butchering, receiving, and preparing amenities
  • Work shifts during peak hotel activity including weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Instill a calm and organized approach during busy or conflict situations
