Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years of relevant kitchen experience preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary government licenses or permits
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Ability to work evening and PM shifts
  • Strong work ethic and team collaboration skills
  • Adherence to grooming and appearance standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent education required
  • One to two years kitchen experience preferred
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per The Umstead Hotel standards

Job Duties

  • Lead by example through hands-on involvement of all aspects of Herons production and service
  • Represent the Executive Chefs core values of quality, sanitation, and fair treatment of associates
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workplace as implemented by the Executive Chef and Chef De Cuisine
  • Report directly to the Chef De Cuisine and/or Sous Chef Team
  • Prepare and produce food items according to the Herons restaurant standards
