Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years culinary experience
- Proven experience in food manufacturing quality assurance
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Proficiency with Google Workspace including docs, sheets, slides, gmail and chat
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to stand and walk on hard surfaces for long periods and lift up to 50lbs
- Keen sense of taste and smell
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry preferably with spices
- Minimum of 5 years in culinary space
- Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in using QA software and tools
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Must have reliable transportation primarily to support grocery shopping for ingredients
Job Duties
- Assist in developing and maintaining product substitutes for SKU razzed items
- Oversee sampling and blend development for Private Label Program
- Support culinary needs for the Client Success Team
- Assist in local Pacific Northwest culinary events
- Collaborate in white board sessions and sales/marketing sampling program recipes
- Create content in Spiceology Test Kitchen alongside culinary/marketing team
- Acquire and shop for ingredients for content shoots
- Collaborate on chef consultation opportunities
- Conduct comprehensive quality inspections on incoming spices
- Assess physical attributes like color, aroma, and texture of spices
- Perform preliminary quality tests on spices
- Develop and implement testing schedules for on-hand spices
- Identify and perform impactful tests for each spice type
- Document and analyze test results for product quality and safety
- Evaluate new vendor spices through rigorous testing
- Coordinate with procurement to source high-quality spices
- Maintain records of vendor performance and quality consistency
