Job Requirements

  • Able to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Able to push and pull wheeled carts
  • Able to communicate effectively and follow oral and written instructions
  • Able to tolerate frequent temperature changes and work around equipment generating heat, steam, and cold

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Food service or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow oral and written instructions
  • Knowledge of food safety principles and HACCP guidelines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Attention to detail in food preparation and sanitation
  • Familiarity with cash handling and point of sale systems

Job Duties

  • Accurately manages position paperwork and processes including order-taking, cash register operations, cash-ups, temperature monitoring, food preparation records, and event paperwork
  • Follows correct hand hygiene and food handling procedures
  • Utilizes appropriate scripting and responds effectively to patients and internal customers
  • Safely operates and cleans kitchen equipment such as coffee brewers, espresso machines, grills, and fryers
  • Correctly date-marks food items and ensures temperature control following FDA guidelines and FIFO procedures
  • Prepares, assembles, serves, cooks, or bakes food and beverages per recipes and guidelines
  • Accurately handles cash and sales transactions through MyMicros software
