Job Requirements

  • One year of culinary experience
  • Able to read and write English
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Adherence to food safety and infection control guidelines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA and PCI regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of culinary experience
  • University of Missouri Food Handler's Certificate within one month preferred
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Additional licenses or certifications as required
  • Experience in healthcare food service preferred

Job Duties

  • Work with medical staff and ancillary staff to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Use proper scripting while interacting with patients, family, and guests
  • Maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA and PCI requirements
  • Prepare hot and cold foods, grill cook, production cooking, catering, baking, and room service production
  • Maintain food safety standards and prevent cross contamination
  • Clean and sanitize work areas and kitchen equipment
  • Assist with cashiering, physician dining room, catering, and tray assembly as needed
  • Follow infection control and PPE guidelines
  • Keep work area inspection-ready and address deficiencies promptly
