Job Duties

  • Assist the Director of Culinary in supervising food preparation using techniques that conserve nutritional value, flavor, and appearance
  • Assist the Director of Culinary in ensuring food preparation and service is completed within scheduled time frames
  • Assist in interviewing residents, family members, legal representatives, and significant others to obtain and update information needed to develop individualized plans of care
  • Store, prepare, and serve all food under sanitary conditions to prevent food-borne illness
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the department by ensuring proper maintenance of equipment and supplies
  • Make rounds in dining rooms to familiarize with residents and provide supervisory support to staff
