Job Duties
- Assist the Director of Culinary in supervising food preparation using techniques that conserve nutritional value, flavor, and appearance
- Assist the Director of Culinary in ensuring food preparation and service is completed within scheduled time frames
- Assist in interviewing residents, family members, legal representatives, and significant others to obtain and update information needed to develop individualized plans of care
- Store, prepare, and serve all food under sanitary conditions to prevent food-borne illness
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the department by ensuring proper maintenance of equipment and supplies
- Make rounds in dining rooms to familiarize with residents and provide supervisory support to staff
