Job Requirements

  • At least age 16
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months of experience in sanitation work in healthcare or food preparation facility preferred
  • Prep/Cook Level Food Handler Permit required
  • Must meet vaccination requirements
  • Ability to gain access to work area and safely perform job duties
  • Vision and hearing within normal limits with or without correction
  • Unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 32 pounds demonstrating strength and agility at Tabitha's discretion

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months of experience in sanitation or food preparation in healthcare or similar facility preferred
  • Prep/Cook Level Food Handler Permit required
  • Must meet vaccination requirements
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English including medical terminology relevant to the job

Job Duties

  • Assist with serving meals following diet orders and prepare food to order in dining room as requested by senior/client
  • Operate dish machine to ensure dishes and silverware are cleaned and sanitized, dried and put away in a timely manner
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation related to food production, quality, and food safety
  • Ensure food and products are properly acquired, stored, dated and rotated
  • Follow recipes according to appropriate safe food handling procedures, using food service equipment
  • Handle trash and sweep and mop galley kitchen floor
  • Procure food from storage areas, freezers, and refrigerators
  • Provide outstanding customer service during guest interactions
