Job Requirements

- ability to work a full-time schedule including every-other-weekend and holiday rotation
- ability to stand for extended periods
- good hygiene and personal cleanliness
- reliable and punctual
- ability to follow sanitation and safety standards
- ability to communicate effectively with team members and residents
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- good communication skills
- ability to work well in a team environment
- basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- previous experience in food service preferred but not required
- ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently
- friendly and respectful attitude toward residents
Job Duties
- Offer and serve menu choices to residents in a cheerful and respectful manner
- follow portion control size standards
- thoroughly clean and sanitize all dishes, tables, equipment, utensils, and containers used to provide meals as well as other assigned cleaning duties
- operate equipment in a proper, safe, sanitary, and respectful manner
- prepare various menu items as assigned by the Nutrition and Culinary Director (Coordinator) and/or Culinary Cook
- monitor daily menu items to verify that all necessary items are prepared and labeled
- store leftovers appropriately according to food handling standards
- organize and plan work schedule to meet times for serving
- operate dish machine according to directions and pre-soak and sort dishes and utensils
- assist in accepting vendor deliveries and storing items in the proper areas
