Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to work a full-time schedule including every-other-weekend and holiday rotation
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • good hygiene and personal cleanliness
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to follow sanitation and safety standards
  • ability to communicate effectively with team members and residents

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work well in a team environment
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • previous experience in food service preferred but not required
  • ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently
  • friendly and respectful attitude toward residents

Job Duties

  • Offer and serve menu choices to residents in a cheerful and respectful manner
  • follow portion control size standards
  • thoroughly clean and sanitize all dishes, tables, equipment, utensils, and containers used to provide meals as well as other assigned cleaning duties
  • operate equipment in a proper, safe, sanitary, and respectful manner
  • prepare various menu items as assigned by the Nutrition and Culinary Director (Coordinator) and/or Culinary Cook
  • monitor daily menu items to verify that all necessary items are prepared and labeled
  • store leftovers appropriately according to food handling standards
  • organize and plan work schedule to meet times for serving
  • operate dish machine according to directions and pre-soak and sort dishes and utensils
  • assist in accepting vendor deliveries and storing items in the proper areas
