Job Requirements
- At least age 16
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- six months of experience in sanitation work in health care or food preparation facility preferred
- prep/cook level food handler permit required
- must meet Tabitha’s vaccination requirements
- ability to speak, read, write, and understand English including medical terminology
- unrestricted lift/push/pull ability up to 32 pounds
- vision and hearing within normal limits with or without correction

Job Duties
- Prepare food to order in the dining room as requested by senior or client
- assist with serving meals to residents following diet orders and requests while providing outstanding customer service
- assist cook in preparing food items for meal service in large quantities according to safe food handling procedures
- ensure accurate and timely documentation related to food production, quality, and food safety
- operate dish machine to clean, sanitize, dry, and store dishes and silverware
- handle trash and sweep and mop kitchen floor
- maintain a clean and orderly kitchen, storeroom, cold storage areas, hallways, and dock areas
- assist with unloading, receiving, and stocking food/supply deliveries
- perform various work duties within the assigned environment according to established time measures and standards
