- two years cooking experience in a high-volume establishment or culinary vocational training
- good knife skills

Job Qualifications
- Two years of cooking experience in a high-volume food establishment or completion of a culinary vocational training program

- recipe scaling for various batch sizes

- ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions

- ServSafe certification preferred

- valid Pennsylvania driver's license preferred
Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly service to a diverse clientele
- perform start up duties including turning on and setting cooking equipment to proper temperatures
- prepare foods/ingredients for grilling or cooking according to specifications
- follow directions from the shift's lead cook for meal production
- thoroughly wash and sanitize produce
- label food with product name, prepared and use-by dates
- store food properly in racks and refrigeration
- ensure food safety and quality standards
- evaluate food readiness by tasting
- cut, trim, bone, and carve meats and poultry
- use correct portions
- assist in other areas as needed
- follow all food safety HACCP requirements
- maintain professional and clean appearance
- ensure food items are properly thawed
- manage inventory of food supplies
- understand and prepare menu items according to recipes and specifications
- prepare grilled items to customer specifications
- use grill equipment at full capacity managing multiple orders
- manage portions of grilled food items
- be aware of production needs across all stations
- prioritize and complete multiple tasks
- maintain clean and sanitized work area per ServSafe standards
- assist in cleaning including light pot washing and dish machine use
- prepare hot and cold sandwiches, wraps, and pizzas according to procedures
- memorize and understand all menu items
