Job Requirements

  • Associate of applied science in pastry arts or culinary arts or equivalent
  • minimum of three years experience as a baker or chef
  • current manager's sanitation certification
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to manage classroom and lab environments
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • commitment to providing quality education
  • willingness to support students with special needs

Job Qualifications

  • AAS in Pastry Arts or Culinary Arts or equivalent
  • three years as a baker or chef
  • current manager's sanitation certification
  • ability to prepare lesson plans and conduct classroom and lab instruction
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • experience in evaluating student progress

Job Duties

  • Conduct assigned classes and/or labs
  • prepare lessons
  • provide course syllabus which shall include grading standards, attendance policies, classroom behavioral expectations, course outline and contact information
  • verify student enrollment and submit grade sheets
  • keep accurate record of student performance
  • provide students with timely feedback
  • refer students to student support services
  • accommodate special needs students
  • perform other duties as assigned
