Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of professional experience or associate degree and six years of professional experience
  • Professional experience directly related to teaching assignment
  • Equity-minded focus and sensitivity to diverse academic and cultural backgrounds
  • Current ServSafe Instructor/Proctor certification
  • Ability to utilize current technology effectively
  • Willingness to participate in college committees and governance
  • Strong commitment to professional conduct and ethics

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Teaching assigned classes under supervision of the area dean
  • Helping students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content
  • Assessing student learning outcomes
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge in teaching field
  • Continuing professional development
  • Utilizing current technology in job duties
  • Maintaining professional conduct and ethics
  • Assisting with articulation and curriculum development and review
  • Serving on college committees and participating in faculty governance
  • Assuming other responsibilities as assigned by area dean
  • Creating accurate food orders within course budget
  • Maintaining lab equipment and inventory
  • Enforcing all department lab rules and policies
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the lab
