Job Requirements

  • must be able to pass federal and state background checks
  • valid food handlers and/or food managers certification
  • experience as a chef, culinary instructor, or related culinary role
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to teach and communicate effectively with adults and children

Job Qualifications

  • must be able to pass federal and state background checks
  • valid food handlers and/or food managers certification
  • proven ability to teach and communicate effectively with both adults and children
  • proven experience as a chef, culinary instructor, or in a related culinary role
  • experience in both professional kitchens and teaching environments is highly valued
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly explain complex concepts

Job Duties

  • assist in setting up the kitchen and preparing ingredients and equipment for cooking classes before class begins
  • aid the instructor during classes by providing hands-on support and guidance to participants
  • foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged and motivated
  • ensure that all safety procedures and protocols are followed in the kitchen environment
  • demonstrate cooking techniques and procedures as directed by the instructor
