Job Requirements
- Current enrollment in the Culinary Arts Program at Saddleback College
- Eligible to work in the U.S. and approved for internship placement via DIAG USA
- Availability to work 20–24 hours per week, including weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Strong passion for culinary arts and hospitality service
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, professional kitchen
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills
Job Qualifications
- Current enrollment in the Culinary Arts Program at Saddleback College
- Eligible to work in the U.S. and approved for internship placement via DIAG USA
- Strong passion for culinary arts and hospitality service
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, professional kitchen
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills
- Culinary training or degree is a plus
- Current Food Handlers Card or willingness and ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
Job Duties
- Work under the direct supervision of experienced chefs to support daily kitchen operations in assigned area (banquets or restaurant)
- Assist in food preparation, mise en place, and service execution according to Pasea's culinary standards
- Rotate through prep stations, cold line, hot line, and plating support depending on department needs
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness protocols
- Participate in catered events, banquet functions, and high-volume restaurant service
- Track skill progression weekly based on Saddleback’s curriculum objectives
- Receive and incorporate feedback from Chef Mentors during regular evaluations
- Maintain a positive, team-focused attitude and commitment to continuous learning
