- Master's degree or Bachelor’s degree with related professional experience
- substantial recent professional experience with increasing responsibility
- supervisory experience
- ability to teach in person on campus
- availability for student consultation
- sensitivity to the educational needs of diverse populations
- compliance with university policies
- willingness to adapt to new modes of instruction
Job Qualifications
- Master's degree in the assigned teaching field or Bachelor’s degree in a hospitality-related discipline with substantial professional experience
- substantial professional experience typically no less than ten consecutive years with progressive responsibility and supervisory roles
- nationally recognized certificates and licenses relevant to the field (preferred)
- ability to adapt instructional methods to diverse learning needs
- effective communication and technology skills
- commitment to equity and inclusion in education
Job Duties
- Teach 3+ credit hours
- deliver coursework in person or online
- prepare course materials and lesson plans
- grade student work and provide timely feedback
- address student questions and provide academic support
- incorporate technology into teaching
- engage and interact with diverse students, faculty, and staff
