Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- experience in clerical tasks and customer service
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- physical ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds
- proficiency in using practice management software
- effective communication skills
- ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
- knowledge of clerical procedures and ability to organize files and records
- excellent customer service skills providing courteous and prompt assistance
- accurate cash handling and cashiering abilities
- strong multitasking skills with attention to detail
- ability to work at a keyboard or workstation for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting animals up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations
- manage lobby flow, address customer concerns, calm distressed owners, and schedule appointments
- handle basic medical emergencies for pets and owners ensuring safety and well-being
- assist with medication pickups, inquiries, and provide information about services and products
- input and manage data in practice management software including billing and accounts
- assist with retail sales, weigh pets, process faxes, and maintain records
- reconcile cash drawer and perform end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions
