Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in dispatching, scheduling, workforce coordination, or similar role
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with operational logistics and team coordination
  • Ability to work on-site in Des Plaines location
  • Available to work varying shifts including early mornings and late nights

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, operations management, or related field preferred
  • Experience in dispatching, scheduling, workforce coordination, or field operations
  • Familiarity with operational environments such as utilities, construction, maintenance, transportation, or service delivery
  • Strong data entry accuracy and real-time job progress tracking
  • Excellent time-management and multitasking skills in fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Monitor the proper staging of galleys on the dock making sure all galleys are available for uploading based on the dock sheet
  • Direct the actual loading of the galleys into the trucks and extend help to teams under time constraint
  • Coordinate with controllers and supervisors on any changes of flight assignment to respective teams
  • Ensure all equipment changes are properly staged and meet service ready time
  • Verify and cover all missing items from the galley before loading into trucks
  • Ensure on-time dock departure of teams in coordination with the dispatcher
  • Regularly check cooler and entire loading dock for carts or items left by teams
  • Cover any missing or requested items in the field when not available in Ramp Lead van
  • Cater extra sections or regular flights when manpower is shorthanded
  • Ensure dock movers and loaders clean truck boxes before loading flights
  • Maintain cleanliness of dock, dock bays, and ramp at all times
  • Maintain temperature log of food items in cooler and dock for all airlines
  • Check phone messages for overnight sick calls and arrange coverage
  • Ensure first bank flights are properly staged for on-time departure
  • Assist supervisor with manpower requirements for next shift and following day
  • Handle FedEx/UPS/Admiral Club deliveries and special customer requests
  • Stage ice and dairies for red-eye flights
  • Perform special functions such as water service, charters for late flights and other special late-night airline requests
