Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in dispatching, scheduling, workforce coordination, or similar role
- Ability to work on-site in Des Plaines, Illinois
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in data entry and real-time job progress tracking
- Flexibility to cover multiple shifts and manage unforeseen operational issues
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in business, logistics, operations management, or related field
- Experience in dispatching, scheduling, workforce coordination, or field operations
- Familiarity with operational environments such as utilities, construction, maintenance, transportation, or service delivery
- Strong data entry accuracy
- Ability to track job progress in real time
- Excellent time-management and multitasking skills
Job Duties
- Monitor proper staging of galleys on the dock to ensure availability for uploading based on dock sheet
- Direct loading of galleys into trucks and assist teams under time constraints
- Coordinate with controllers and supervisors regarding changes in flight assignments
- Ensure proper staging of equipment changes and meet service ready times
- Verify and cover missing galley items before loading into trucks
- Ensure on-time dock departure of teams in coordination with dispatcher
- Regularly check cooler and loading dock for carts or items left by teams
- Cover missing or requested items in the field not available in Ramp Lead van
- Cater extra sections or flights when manpower is limited
- Ensure dock movers and loaders clean truck boxes before flight loading
- Maintain cleanliness of dock, dock bays and ramp
- Maintain temperature log of food items in cooler and dock
- Manage phone messages for overnight sick calls and arrange coverage
- Ensure first bank flights are staged for on-time dock departure
- Assist supervisor with manpower requirements for next shift and following day
- Handle FedEx, UPS, Admiral Club deliveries and special customer requests
- Stage ice and dairies for red-eye flights
- Ensure dock cleanliness during and at shift end
- Perform special functions such as water service and charters for late flights and late-night airline requests
