Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in cruise or upscale resort entertainment
- strong verbal communication skills
- ability to manage guest activities and events
- capacity to work long hours onboard including weekends
- ability to handle guest concerns and report to management
- must possess or acquire TWIC
- ability to operate basic AV equipment
- team leadership and problem-solving skills
- flexibility to work extended periods at sea
Job Qualifications
- Cruise ship experience preferred but upscale resort experience considered
- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- polished presentation and speaking skills
- strong interpersonal and social skills
- strong critical thinking skills
- production and presentation expertise
- basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment
- enthusiastic, outgoing, and confident attitude
- excellent time management and attention to detail
- valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
Job Duties
- Schedule and execute engaging entertainment programs
- communicate with guests via daily programs and public announcements
- socialize with guests during meals and cocktail hours
- greet guests during shore excursions
- make daily noon announcements and updates
- coordinate meetings with excursion and entertainment staff
- create daily Ship to Shore communications
- host officer introductions and excursion briefings
- assist with safety briefings
- prepare lounges for events
- confirm entertainers and assist with audio/visual needs
- update bulletin boards
- collaborate with Excursions Director on materials
- represent company at pre-cruise hotels
- promote onboard sales and re-booking events
- oversee VIP guest services
- report to Home Office on cruise status
- perform bartending duties as needed
