Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience preparing simple food for children
- ability to take direction and multi-task effectively
- willing to work in a busy kitchen environment
- ability to load and transport food items
- knowledge of health codes and willingness to maintain kitchen cleanliness
- must be able to handle cash transactions accurately
- able to work with other staff members
- willingness to obtain Food Handlers permit
- lifestyle and convictions demonstrating a Christian worldview
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- confidence and flexibility to meet challenges
- excellent communication and proofreading skills
- ability to meet deadlines
- maintain privacy of learner information
- physically able to lift up to 25 pounds
- regular and on-time attendance
- availability to work up to 40 hours per week
- willingness to participate in extracurricular school activities
- attend professional development as required
Job Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation for children
- knowledge of health and safety standards in kitchen environments

Job Duties
- Assist in food preparation and serve breakfast and lunch
- load carts, food warmers, trays for food transportation
- take food and beverage orders and enter them accurately into the system
- help clean and maintain kitchen to meet health codes
- organize and deliver lunches to classrooms
- handle cash and maintain adequate change
- assist in menu planning, ordering, picking up, and receiving food supplies
- maintain knowledge of policies and procedures
- work collaboratively with other workers
- maintain high level of cleanliness and order in kitchen
- communicate effectively with staff and parents when needed
