Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5-7 years of experience in data center or mission critical operations
- 3-5 years of experience managing preventative maintenance programs
- 3-5 years vendor and project management experience
- expert understanding of electrical and mechanical data center systems
- strong leadership capability
- experience with multi-million-dollar budgets
- knowledge of NFPA70e, NFPA72, NFPA25, NFPA101 and compliance codes
- skilled in data center monitoring and analysis tools
- experience in design and commissioning of critical systems
- effective communicator
- ability to supervise contractors
- knowledge of customer contracts and ASHRAE standards
- proven people manager

- eligible to work in the United States
- able to pass comprehensive background screening.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- minimum 5-7 years of experience in data center or comparable critical operations role
- 3-5 years experience in preventative maintenance administration
- 3-5 years experience in vendor and project management
- expert knowledge of electrical and mechanical data center systems including UPS, transformers, PDUs, chillers and fire life safety systems
- exceptional leadership skills
- experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets
- expert knowledge of NFPA standards and building codes related to fire and life safety
- proficiency in data center trending and analysis
- experience in critical systems design, construction and commissioning
- strong communication skills
- ability to manage contractors and maintenance staff
- understanding of customer contracts and SLA standards
- experienced people management skills
- ability to develop a cohesive team environment.
Job Duties
- Lead and implement a standardized culture of safety across all data centers
- act as the data center subject matter expert for electrical, mechanical, fire life safety and other systems
- advise the regional SVP on maintenance program status
- operate, monitor, and respond to facility conditions
- implement efficiency projects and maintain design PUE
- ensure execution of preventative and predictive maintenance
- train and mentor staff
- manage vendor relationships and contracts
- oversee project scope, proposals, procurement, and billing
- manage site budgeting and forecasting for CAPEX and OPEX
- evaluate technical procedures for maintenance and emergency events
- ensure construction activities do not affect operations
- lead development of individual employee training plans
- serve as customer liaison for site inquiries
- lead incident reporting and root cause analysis
- conduct expert technical reviews of procedures, company standards, and policies
- manage internal and external site audits
- ensure compliance with standards
- prevent unplanned client-impacting outages
- manage mechanical loading and cooling efficiency
- utilize CMMS, EPMS, and BMS systems
- provide exceptional customer service
- maintain on-call availability for emergencies
- perform other duties as required by STACK.
