Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- completion of an accredited Paramedic program mandatory
- active Illinois Paramedic license
- Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) certification or equivalent if required by Illinois regulations
- valid driver’s license
- EVOC certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- PHTLS certification
- ITLS certification
- NRP certification
Job Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Paramedic program
- active Illinois Paramedic license
- Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) certification or equivalent if required by Illinois regulations
- valid driver’s license
- certifications in EVOC, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, ITLS, NRP
Job Duties
- Provide comprehensive critical care during patient transport including ventilator management
- advanced airway maintenance
- IV medication administration
- infusion therapies
- cardiac monitoring
- use and management of cardiac monitors, ventilators, and IV pumps
- collaborate with critical care nurses and online medical control physicians to develop and execute patient care plans
- maintain unit readiness including cleanliness and supply levels for critical care transports
