Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous customer service experience
  • intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office programs
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • self-motivated and proactive in operational disruption prevention
  • ability to adapt under pressure and maintain composure
  • ability to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities
  • ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • authorization to work in the U.S.

  • crew scheduling experience preferred
  • knowledge of airline and aviation terminology preferred
  • aviation operations experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Create and modify crew schedules to resolve conflicts caused by weather, maintenance, and crew issues
  • interact with crew members and process daily absences, reassignments, swaps, and movements
  • resolve flight crew legality problems and rest requirements based on regulatory and contractual rules
  • maintain the integrity of the flight schedule ensuring all segments have legal crew coverage
  • provide detailed communication to crew members about schedule changes
  • build open crew member segments into trips and cover for current day operations
  • make last-minute changes to crew hotel reservations, cancellations, and transportation arrangements
  • book crew members on deadhead flights when needed
  • monitor crew members' check-in status to assure coverage
  • communicate with Crew Scheduling Coordinators, Dispatch Coordinators, and Maintenance Supervisors to resolve operational issues
  • utilize multiple software systems to track and solve complex scheduling problems
  • monitor and maintain FAR legality and contractual compliance of crew schedules for 24/7 operations
  • assist with irregular operations by processing Crew Recovery Reports
  • assist with on-the-job training for new hire schedulers
  • responsible for the company’s Security and Safety Management System and associated safety outputs
