Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience as a baker or finisher preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to work overnight shifts including 6-hour shifts
  • Meet safety and sanitation standards
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments
  • Ability to anticipate and understand guests' needs and exceed expectations

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a cafe or quick service restaurant preferred
  • Previous experience as a baker or finisher in a bakery environment preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to follow instructions for recipes and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Manual dexterity for cake decorating
  • Ability to adapt to changing customer volume levels with a sense of urgency

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent guest satisfaction, service speed, and product quality
  • Meet safety and sanitation standards
  • Anticipate and understand guests' needs and exceed their expectations
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Execute proper pre-bake, baking, and post-bake procedures for baked goods
  • Decorate cakes according to design standards
  • Manage cake and icing inventory
  • Prepare icings and maintain cake decorating stations
  • Maintain a positive, friendly working relationship with guests and team members
