Job Requirements

  • No prior experience or training required
  • must be at least 16 years old or older
  • ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle and feel
  • ability to reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • ability to lift at least 20 pounds
  • ability to work in environments exposed to high heat and cooking oils
  • ability to apply common sense for basic problem solving
  • authorized exceptions for age must be approved by VPO and HR

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred but not required
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group situations
  • basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with money and measurement units
  • common sense and reasoning ability to carry out simple instructions
  • Crew Leader Certification
  • Shift Supervisor Certification

Job Duties

  • Greet the customer
  • suggest sales and answer questions about products
  • record the customer's order
  • stage customers in serpentine area to maintain a smooth customer flow
  • select requested food items from serving or storage areas and assemble items on serving tray or in takeout bag
  • serve cold drinks, hot beverages, and desserts
  • receive payment
  • assist customers with questions or complaints
  • retrieve raw food stock and place at appropriate station for preparation
  • perform duties to prepare food
  • maintain orderly eating and serving areas
  • ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
