Job Requirements
- No prior experience or training required
- must be at least 16 years old or older
- ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle and feel
- ability to reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- ability to lift at least 20 pounds
- ability to work in environments exposed to high heat and cooking oils
- ability to apply common sense for basic problem solving
- authorized exceptions for age must be approved by VPO and HR
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred but not required
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- ability to write simple correspondence
- effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group situations
- basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with money and measurement units
- common sense and reasoning ability to carry out simple instructions
- Crew Leader Certification
- Shift Supervisor Certification
Job Duties
- Greet the customer
- suggest sales and answer questions about products
- record the customer's order
- stage customers in serpentine area to maintain a smooth customer flow
- select requested food items from serving or storage areas and assemble items on serving tray or in takeout bag
- serve cold drinks, hot beverages, and desserts
- receive payment
- assist customers with questions or complaints
- retrieve raw food stock and place at appropriate station for preparation
- perform duties to prepare food
- maintain orderly eating and serving areas
- ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
