Saint Vincent de Paul (SVdP) is a well-established nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and strengthening communities through various support programs and workforce development initiatives. One of their key programs, the Neighborhood Brigade, launched in February 2021, exemplifies SVdP's commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for residents of their interim housing communities. Job Requirements
- Complete a background check
- Pass a drug screening
- Provide proof of authorization to work in the United States
- Have a valid email address for onboarding
- Ability to work 6-10 hours per week as scheduled
- Notify Supervisor prior to any missed shift
- Adhere to attendance and conduct policies
- Commit to safe and inclusive community standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous workforce experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to follow directions and work under supervision
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful community environment
- Willingness to actively engage in workforce and housing transition goals
Job Duties
- Remove and appropriately dispose of trash and litter from designated areas
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols while on duty
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with other Crew Members and staff
- Track and report the number of bags of debris collected during shifts
- Support setup and breakdown of events as approved by the Supervisor
- Uphold SVdP’s values of dignity, respect, and community care in all interactions
