Part of the job includes handling food preparation duties such as slicing meats and vegetables (subject to age restrictions for certain equipment), maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, cleaning, and managing setup tasks for the store. Crew Members must be committed to meeting Jersey Mike's high standards for food quality and customer service. They work collaboratively under the guidance of the General Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant throughout their shift. - ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
- must be 17 years old or older to operate food slicers
- must follow directives of General Manager
Job Qualifications
- 0-1 year experience in food service
- 0-1 year experience in cash handling
- customer service skills
- ability to interact with customers and co-workers consistently
Job Duties
- Provide food that meets Jersey Mike's specifications and high-quality standards
- provide service that is above and beyond for the customer
- maintain a clean store and workplace
- set up of the store, including food preparation
- food safety and sanitation, including cleaning, sweeping, mopping, etc.
- usage of slicer (18 years old and above only)
- usage of tomato slicer (17 years old and above only)
- follow directives of General Manager in execution of responsibilities
