Unlike corporate-owned McDonald's locations, this franchisee operates as a separate company and employer from McDonald's USA. The franchisee holds a license to use the McDonald's brand, logos, and food products but manages all employment-related decisions independently, such as hiring, firing, staffing, supervision, and scheduling.
