Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

- must have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly
- must be available to work flexible hours including peak sales times, opening shifts, closing shifts, and weekends
- prior experience beneficial but not required
- must be able to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- must be able to read and communicate in English
- must be able to lift between 25-50 lbs
Job Duties
- Welcoming every guest with a smile
- delivering fast, friendly and accurate service to all guests
- answering guest questions related to the menu and suggestive selling to help the guest order
- having knowledge of the various guest programs and technology such as Thanx, kiosk and online ordering
- having full knowledge of the menu and ingredients profile for all Melt menu items
- ensuring order accuracy upon guest delivery
- monitoring ticket times to ensure food is delivered within THE MELT’s speed of service guidelines
- following recipes accurately during food prep as well as sandwich builds, salads, soups, sides, and shakes
- following all Melt policies related to uniform, grooming and personal hygiene
- following all food safety and sanitation requirements and practices
- ensuring guest areas such as dining room, restrooms are clean and well stocked at all times
- ensuring your station (FOH or BOH) is clean and well stocked at all times
- following all crew policies and procedures related to successful employment at THE MELT
- promoting teamwork to achieve restaurant goals
- attending and being punctual to all scheduled shifts
- communicating with fellow crew members in a courteous and respectful manner
- following all safety policies and procedures to eliminate risk of injury/illness for crew and guests
