Job Requirements

  • Must be happy

  • Must be available to work flexible hours including peak sales times, opening shifts, closing shifts, and weekends
  • Prior experience not required but helps if worked in a restaurant, deli, cafe, fast food, coffee, retail or customer service
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English
  • Must be able to lift between 25-50 lbs

Job Duties

  • Welcoming every guest with a smile
  • Delivering fast, friendly and accurate service to all guests
  • Answering guest questions related to the menu and suggestive selling to help the guest order
  • Having knowledge of the various guest programs and technology such as Thanx, Kiosk and Online Ordering
  • Having full knowledge of the menu and ingredients profile for all Melt menu items
  • Ensuring order accuracy upon guest delivery
  • Monitoring ticket times to ensure food is delivered within THE MELT’s speed of service guidelines
  • Following recipes accurately during food prep as well as sandwich builds, salads, soups, sides, and shakes
  • Following all Melt policies related to uniform, grooming and personal hygiene
  • Following all food safety and sanitation requirements and practices
  • Ensuring guest areas such as dining room, restrooms are clean and well stocked at all times
  • Ensuring your station (FOH or BOH) is clean and well stocked at all times
  • Following all Crew policies and procedures related to successful employment at THE MELT
  • Promoting teamwork to achieve restaurant goals
  • Attending and being punctual to all scheduled shifts
  • Communicating with fellow crew members in a courteous and respectful manner
  • Following all safety policies and procedures to eliminate risk of injury/illness for crew and guests
