Job Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted and 50 lbs assisted
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods including bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments
- Safe use of knives and kitchen equipment with proper PPE
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to work under stress
- Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and effective communication
- Professional, neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- Mustaches must be trimmed at lip level
- Face and neck tattoos are prohibited and facial piercings may not be worn except clear retainers
- Must be physically present during scheduled hours
- Must be able to adhere to all health, safety, and operational standards
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a quick service restaurant is preferred but not required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule up to 28 hours part-time or 40 hours full-time per week
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus
- Ability to quickly learn health codes and procedures for handling raw meat and eggs
- Ability to use Point-of-Sale systems proficiently
- Ability to understand and apply company policies and procedures
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Must obtain Food Handler Certification within 30 days of employment
Job Duties
- Know and embody the mission, vision and core values of Blake's Lotaburger
- Provide an outstanding customer experience for every customer
- Address all housekeeping duties throughout the restaurant
- Operate cash register and accurately handle cash and credit card transactions
- Assemble orders quickly and accurately as per customer preferences
- Operate fryer safely and prepare orders according to established procedures
- Lead kitchen operations at the grill station while adhering to cooking techniques and health codes
- Oversee daily preparation at the prep station and manage proper stocking and rotation
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the restaurant including dining, kitchen, and parking areas
