Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted and 50 lbs assisted
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods including bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments
  • Safe use of knives and kitchen equipment with proper PPE
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to work under stress
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and effective communication
  • Professional, neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Mustaches must be trimmed at lip level
  • Face and neck tattoos are prohibited and facial piercings may not be worn except clear retainers
  • Must be physically present during scheduled hours
  • Must be able to adhere to all health, safety, and operational standards

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working in a quick service restaurant is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule up to 28 hours part-time or 40 hours full-time per week
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus
  • Ability to quickly learn health codes and procedures for handling raw meat and eggs
  • Ability to use Point-of-Sale systems proficiently
  • Ability to understand and apply company policies and procedures
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check
  • Must obtain Food Handler Certification within 30 days of employment

Job Duties

  • Know and embody the mission, vision and core values of Blake's Lotaburger
  • Provide an outstanding customer experience for every customer
  • Address all housekeeping duties throughout the restaurant
  • Operate cash register and accurately handle cash and credit card transactions
  • Assemble orders quickly and accurately as per customer preferences
  • Operate fryer safely and prepare orders according to established procedures
  • Lead kitchen operations at the grill station while adhering to cooking techniques and health codes
  • Oversee daily preparation at the prep station and manage proper stocking and rotation
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the restaurant including dining, kitchen, and parking areas
