Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must be physically able to stand, walk and lift up to 25 pounds unassisted
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments
- Must be able to safely handle knives and sharp kitchen tools
- Must have basic math skills for cash handling
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Must pass background check
- Must obtain Food Handler Certification within 30 days
- Must be able to adhere to grooming and appearance standards
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Must be able to multitask and handle stressful situations
- Must be available to work scheduled hours on-site
Job Qualifications
- Experience in a quick service restaurant setting is preferred but not required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule up to 28 hours part-time or 40 hours full-time per week
- Professional, neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Ability to learn and follow health codes and procedures for handling raw meat and eggs
- Experience or ability to quickly learn to use a POS system
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus
- Ability to read, understand and adhere to Blake's Lotaburger's general policies and procedures
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to become Food Handler Certified within 30 days of employment
Job Duties
- Know and embody the mission, vision and core values of Blake's Lotaburger
- Provide an outstanding customer experience for every customer
- Address all housekeeping duties throughout the restaurant
- Other duties/projects as assigned
- Greet customers with high energy and an outgoing personality
- Operate cash register, accurately handle cash and process credit card transactions
- Assemble orders quickly and accurately according to customer preferences
- Operate fry station and maintain cleanliness and product rotation
- Handle multiple orders on the grill following cooking techniques and recipes
- Prepare fresh produce and manage morning assembly table setup
- Maintain cleanliness including removal of trash, cleaning tables, windows, parking areas, bathrooms, floors and spills
- Work safely with knives and kitchen equipment using proper PPE
- Collaborate as a team with grill cook and cashier/counter help
- Follow health codes and procedures for food safety
