Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred but not required
- Willingness to work temporarily for 28 weeks aboard a cruise ship
- Ability to perform emergency and safety functions as required by the company
- Prohibition of alcohol consumption during employment
- Must be able to live and work onboard the vessel for the duration of the contract
- Must adhere to company grooming and appearance policies
Job Qualifications
- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- Willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Capable of passing a pre-employment drug test including substances like Marijuana
- Maintain grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- Demonstrate ability to work well under pressure
- Keep composure and maintain a positive attitude
Job Duties
- Provide a personalized, high-quality dining service
- Set up and break down meals and events
- Greet guests by name, offer menu/wine suggestions, and answer questions
- Relay orders and serve with attention to detail
- Maintain safe and welcoming guest areas, including staterooms and common spaces
- Greet guests by name and respond to housekeeping requests
- Clean rooms, stock supplies, and organize inventory
- Support special events like embarkation, tea service, and cocktail parties
