Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year experience in food service or retail preferred
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to read and understand instructions and memos
  • proficiency in basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • ability to operate cash register
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • capability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to work in a noisy and varying temperature environment
  • ability to handle food safely according to sanitation standards
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • honesty and integrity in cash handling
  • preferred but not required NYC Food Handlers License

Job Qualifications

  • One year of experience in food service or retail environment preferred

  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos
  • ability to write simple correspondences

Job Duties

  • Offer friendly service to all guests
  • take customer orders maintaining fast, accurate service and positive guest relations
  • operate grill and sandwich maker efficiently and safely
  • ensure company standards on equipment, facility, and grounds are maintained
  • ensure food quality and 100% customer satisfaction
  • maintain the restaurant with regards to cleanliness, neatness and customer accessibility
  • use company cash register accurately and maintain proper control of company assets
  • work as a team member to support other restaurant employees in their duties
  • receive payments by cash, credit or debit cards, and gift cards
  • issue receipts, refunds, or change due
  • assist customers by providing menu information and resolving their complaints or concerns
  • readily identify prices of menu items and calculate bill using POS
  • enthusiastically greet customers entering restaurant
  • answer customers' questions and provide information of store policies and procedures regarding preparation or cooking process
  • maintain a clean and orderly register area
  • mix milkshakes and other beverages as necessary
