Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience on tree trimming or clearing crews
- excellent leadership skills
- basic knowledge of tree identification and arboriculture techniques
- understanding of ANSI Z133.1-2000 standards
- knowledge of electrical circuits and circuit maps
- professional verbal and written communication

- able to wear PPE
- physically able to enter and exit vehicles multiple times daily

- excellent leadership skills with ability to handle stress and multi-task
- basic knowledge of trees including identification and arboricultural techniques near energized conductors
- understanding of American National Standards for Tree Care Operations
- basic knowledge of electrical circuits and ability to read circuit maps
- professional communication skills both verbal and written
- enforces safety practices on the job
- able to wear personal protective equipment as required
- able to enter and exit vehicles multiple times daily
- able to withstand exposure to various weather conditions
- proficient in reading and comprehending job instructions

- physical ability to lift, move, and maneuver weights up to 50 pounds occasionally and 30 pounds frequently
- availability to work long hours and overtime including holidays and emergencies
- ability to operate and maintain required tools and equipment

Job Duties
- Supervises a line clearance crew and plans daily work for the crew
- assigns work to individual crew members and directs work according to line clearance practices
- recognizes poisonous plants and applies proper safeguards
- enforces safe work practices and conducts safety training
- obtains permission from property owners for tree work and herbicide application
- promotes good customer and public relations through crew conduct and work quality
- keeps accurate records and reports related to crew performance
- interprets tree trimming orders and utility circuit maps
- conducts safety training in coordination with client policies
- manages crew costs by efficient use of manpower and resources
- monitors weather conditions and decides on work stoppage if necessary
- safeguards employees and the public in work zones
- inspects trucks, tools, and equipment
- manages emergency responses for hazard elimination and service restoration
- performs tree trimming, removal, and chemical spraying
- loads and unloads trucks and operates machinery
- repairs minor property damage
- services equipment
- directs traffic and operates vehicles and machinery
- trains new employees
- works near hazardous equipment and energized power lines
- uses personal protective equipment
- works outdoors in various weather conditions and rough terrain
- performs other related duties as assigned
