Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Three years of general office experience
- Valid drivers license and ability to drive a motor vehicle
- Requires computer literacy in operating a personal computer using word processing, spreadsheet, and database management systems such as Word and Excel
- Ability to perform basic math computations and skill in operating a 10-key machine
- Ability to type 25 words per minute
- Have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to deal tactfully with internal and external customers
- Ability to work variable and non-standard shifts, holidays, and weekends

Job Duties
- Coordinates all train crew dispatching activities to ensure adequate personnel are assigned to all train operations
- Posts job availability and work assignments
- Manages bidding and bumping based on seniority and qualifications
- Arranges travel support including hotel, airline, and ground transportation
- Determines crew availability including vacation, sick time, rested status, and training
- Manages the extra board and scheduling rules testing and physicals
- Uses automated systems to track crew information and maintains records of start times, tie up and deadhead times, project codes, pay rates, and leave status
- Responds to employee inquiries regarding assignments
- May perform Timekeeper/Transportation duties as assigned
- Contributes to team by accomplishing related tasks as needed
