Job Requirements

  • satisfactory operating and attendance record at time of appointment
  • ability to work weekends, holidays, and various tours
  • ability to arrange coverage according to collective bargaining agreements
  • proficiency with data entry and scheduling software
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • teamwork and independent work capabilities
  • understanding of subway service delivery operations

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of collective bargaining agreements
  • ability to read and understand work programs and job schedules
  • adept at learning new tools and software
  • ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • effective communication skills
  • experience as assistant train dispatcher, train dispatcher, or yard dispatcher
  • satisfactory operating and attendance record

Job Duties

  • arrange vacancy coverage for conductors, train operators, tower operators, and supervisors in accordance with collective bargaining agreements and pick procedures
  • manage daily, vacation relief, and other contracted lost time coverage for service delivery hourly and supervisory employees
  • maintain proper assignments and post related records
  • call personnel for duty as required
  • perform daily data entry in the Unified Timekeeping System (UTS)
  • respond to employee inquiries and concerns
  • ensure compliance with scheduling and reporting protocols
