Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years practical aircraft maintenance experience
- Possess an FAA A&P license or the A license
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, assign and coordinate tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively and mentor team members
- Ability to comply with environmental and safety procedures
- Ability to work shifts unsupervised
- Engine run and taxi qualification may be required
- Fuel farm qualification may be required
- Basic computer skills
- Willingness to work outside when necessary
- Strong passion for aviation and professional development
Job Qualifications

- Thorough knowledge in functional area demonstrated through experience and skill
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures in functional area
- Advanced knowledge of pertinent reference materials
- Ability to work shifts unsupervised within prescribed framework of authority
- Ability to perform engine run and taxi qualification if required
- Ability to perform fuel farm qualification if required
- Basic computer skills
- Strong desire to work on commercial aircraft and grow professionally
Job Duties
- Oversee and perform daily activities for assigned functional area in conjunction with Supervisor
- Lead a team of certificated and non-certificated aircraft maintenance technicians
- Coordinate workload requirements with Supervisors
- Plan, direct, layout and coordinate activities of the Maintenance Department to minimize delays and increase efficiency
- Maintain work areas, ground support equipment and materials in safe, clean, and operable condition
- Conduct team meetings with Supervisor and oversee employee activities
- Communicate aircraft discrepancies with Supervisors, customer representatives, and employees
- Provide technical guidance using complex manuals and blueprints
- Mentor, train and provide performance feedback
- Provide input on disciplinary actions, performance management and selection process
- Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures
- Participate in 5-S activities
- Provide input on accident investigations and paperwork
- Monitor accurate data collection on employees
- Monitor routine task cards and budgets
- Estimate man-hours and prepare time estimates
- Complete and approve paperwork prior to turnover to QC/QA
- Work outside when required
- Perform maintenance on aircraft as needed
- Support efficient operation of the department and company as necessary
