Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in art design or arts management
  • Interest in entrepreneurship
  • Experience in event planning
  • Ability to work 5 to 19 hours per week
  • Eligible to work in the US
  • Completion of CORI and SORI background checks
  • Proof of identity and employment eligibility within three days of employment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship
  • Proven experience in event planning
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in managing event logistics and vendor relations
  • Knowledge of safety and accessibility regulations related to event management
  • Experience collaborating with academic faculty on event programming

Job Duties

  • Serve as project lead for all event operations including creating run-of-show schedules and production timelines
  • Secure campus facilities, permits, and coordinate room bookings, audiovisual and furniture needs
  • Manage procurement of supplies, catering, and equipment for events
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, accessibility standards, and fire codes
  • Act as liaison for external partners including visiting artists, guest speakers, and alumni
  • Manage vendor relations for retail-focused events including application review and contract collection
  • Collaborate with faculty to align class showcase events with curriculum goals
  • Coordinate guest logistics with Public Safety and Parking departments
  • Provide on-site leadership during events including setup, registration, technical checks, and breakdown
  • Troubleshoot operational issues during events
  • Supervise student workers or volunteers assisting with event support
  • Manage promotional timelines and coordinate with Communications/Marketing to produce marketing materials
  • Manage event ticketing and registration platforms
