Job Requirements

Ability to pass training and required testing
Overhead cabin crane experience preferred
Must have a flexible schedule including weekends
Must be willing to work shifts and/or overtime during the week and weekends
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently
Willing to work outdoors exposed to elements year-round
Must have recent work history and a proven track record working cross-functionally
Ability to work well with diverse team members
Ability to work independently
Ability to perform tasks safely and timely

Job Qualifications

Ability to pass training and required testing
Experience with overhead cabin crane operation
Flexible schedule including availability to work weekends
Willingness to work shifts and overtime hours during weekdays and weekends
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently
Experience working in outdoor environments exposed to elements year-round
Proven recent work history with a cross-functional team environment
Ability to work well with team members from diverse backgrounds
Ability to work independently with periodic guidance
Ability to perform tasks in a timely and safe manner

Job Duties

Operates and maintains a 45-ton overhead river crane or equivalent equipment
Maintains equipment by performing preventive maintenance such as lubricating, cleaning, adding gear lubricants, changing cables, and documenting activities
Inspects all moving parts, cables, pendant lines, sheaves, and spreader bars
Ensures the safety of barges, trucks, rail cars, and all crew members in the work area
Observes load hookup and determines load safety
Adheres to safety and security procedures and reports unsafe conditions
Manipulates crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement
Troubleshoots equipment problems and performs minor repairs
Uses proper and safe loading and unloading procedures
Cleans the work area daily
Follows company and client safety rules and reports equipment safety deficiencies immediately
Maintains and uses appropriate PPE, including hard hats, vests, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots
