Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2-year college degree or equivalent experience
- Holds all necessary certifications including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and company-approved software
- Preferred supervisory experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to make quick and accurate decisions
- Ability to work under high pressure
- Maintain composure and objectivity
- Problem-solving capability
- Capable of assimilating complex data from various sources
- Effective listening and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to understand and work with financial data
Job Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- 2-year college degree with 3 or more years of related experience or 4-year degree with 1 to 2 years of related experience or Culinary Degree with 1 to 2 years of progressive experience
- Holds and maintains Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid certifications
- Proficient in Windows operating systems, spreadsheets, and word processing
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to convey information clearly
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Composure under pressure
- Effective listening and communication skills
- Ability to understand financial information and perform basic arithmetic functions
Job Duties
- Assist in providing oversight of kitchen staff, outlets, banquet food display merchandising, and operations of Kitchen and Banquet departments
- Work towards improving Cafe, Room Service, Lounge, and Banquet sales revenues to exceed budget
- Communicate in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist F&B Director with forecasting and budgeting
- Maintain professional working relationships and promote open lines of communication with managers, employees, and other departments
- Stay knowledgeable and aware of local competition and industry trends
- Work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations
