Job Requirements

  • At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
  • or a 4-year college degree and at least 4 to 5 years of related experience
  • or a 2-year college degree and at least 5 to 6 years of related experience
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems
  • Must have valid driver’s license for the applicable state
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong speaking, reading and writing skills
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high pressure situations
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Ability to handle workplace problems by anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
  • Ability to assimilate complex data from different sources and adjust to meet needs

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including compliance with company dress code and wearing a name tag
  • Comply with and ensure adherence to company standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of hotel annual budget plans and monitor hotel performance
  • Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and hosting receptions
  • Tour operating departments daily and make adjustments as needed
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions
  • Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers
  • Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline management personnel according to company policies
  • Conduct property visits regularly and provide reports
  • Inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering managers
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property
  • Ensure employees maintain attentive, friendly, courteous and efficient interactions with guests
  • Review weekly and monthly financial positions and analyze data
  • Meet sales clients on the property to support sales efforts
  • Maintain procedures for handling of the hotel safe and conduct audits
  • Complete required corporate training modules and certifications
  • Ensure scheduled meetings take place on the property
