Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- Strive for at least five items in each bag while preventing damage
- Follow best practices for using reusable, plastic, and paper bags
- Assist with removing customer's merchandise from bottom of shopping baskets
- Offer help with loading bags into customers' cars
- Perform basic shelf conditioning
- Inform customers of grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas
- Clean spills and collect trash inside the store and parking lot
- Clean all areas inside and outside the store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Understand store layout and assist with price checks
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Adhere to food safety regulations
- Inspect equipment and report repair needs
- Foster a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- Follow all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
