Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- Strive for at least five items per bag while ensuring no damage to contents
- Follow best practices for bagging items in reusable, plastic, and paper bags
- Assist in removing customer merchandise from the bottom of carts
- Offer help with loading bags into customers' cars
- Perform basic shelf conditioning
- Inform customers of grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Gather carts and return them to designated areas
- Clean spills and pick up trash inside store and parking lot
- Clean all areas inside and outside of the store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Understand store layout and assist with product location and price checks
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures and notifying management of unsafe conditions
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and report repair needs
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products
- Adhere to all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in high-paced and stressful environments
- Manage conflict in a nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues
