Job Duties
- Bag groceries carefully to prevent damage
- Strive to bag at least five items per bag
- Follow best practices for bagging reusable, plastic, and paper bags
- Assist customers by unloading merchandise from the bottom of baskets
- Offer help with loading bags into customers’ vehicles
- Perform basic shelf conditioning and merchandising tasks
- Inform customers about grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas
- Clean spills and pick up trash inside and outside the store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Locate products and assist cashiers with price checks
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions
- Follow all local, state, and federal laws and company policies
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflict with patience and professionalism
- Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek help when necessary
