Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- Strive to place at least five items per bag without damage
- Follow best practices for bagging various types of bags including reusable, plastic, and paper
- Assist customers by removing merchandise from bottom of basket
- Offer help loading bags into customer vehicles
- Perform basic shelf conditioning
- Inform customers about grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Gather and return bascarts to designated areas
- Clean spills and collect trash inside store and parking lot
- Clean all areas inside and outside the store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Understand store layout and locate products for price checks
- Reinforce safety programs by identifying and reporting unsafe conditions
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Inspect equipment and report needed repairs
- Create a welcoming environment by assisting with product questions
- Follow local, state, federal laws and company policies
- Work cooperatively in high-paced, stressful environments
- Manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance as needed
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
