Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- strive for at least five items in each bag while ensuring items are not damaged
- follow best practices for bagging various types of bags including reusable, plastic, and paper
- assist customers by removing merchandise from bottom of the basket for checkout
- offer to help customers with loading bags into their cars
- perform basic shelf conditioning
- inform customers of grocery specials
- return merchandise to store shelves
- gather baskets and return them to designated areas
- clean spills and collect trash inside and outside the store
- clean all areas inside and outside of the store
- handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- understand store layout and conduct price checks for cashiers
- comply with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions or accidents and notify management
- adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- inspect equipment and notify management of needed repairs
- create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- manage conflicts respectfully
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
